The Department of English (Evening Session) at RKSD College, Kaithal, hosted a Movie Review Writing Competition for its MA English students on January 15, 2024. Held in the Seminar Hall and led by Prof. Raj Kumar, the event aimed to inspire students towards achieving their goals and honing their literary criticism skills.
The session commenced with a warm welcome by Dr. Harinder Gupta, the Principal In-Charge of the Evening Session. The competition unfolded in two phases: initially, the students engaged in a collective viewing of the movie “12th Fail,” followed by the main event where they crafted their movie reviews.
The culmination of the session saw Dr. Gupta announcing the winners. In a proud moment for the MA English Final Year, Mayank clinched the first position, followed by Sidharth and Ritik in second and third places, respectively. Mohit, from MA English Previous, received a consolation prize.
In his closing remarks, Dr. Gupta commended Principal Dr. Sanjay Goyal and the RVS Management Committee for their dedication to student welfare and holistic development. He advocated for the regular organization of such extracurricular activities, underlining their importance in aiding students to effortlessly reach their objectives. The event was further graced by the presence of esteemed faculty members Dr. Manoj Bansal, Dr. Devi Lal, Prof. Ankit, Dr. Himani, Prof. Kush, and Prof. Manish, who added to the richness of the occasion.
