Dr S.P Verma,Assistant Professor,Dept of English, organised a “Ladder Game” activity for B.A.IInd year(Sec F) students under the aegis of the English Literary Society of the Dept of English. For this activity, two teams- Team A and Team B- of 14 students each including both boys and girls were made. Two ladders of 14 steps each were drawn on the blackboard and one by one each member of both the teams was asked to write a new word in each box/step of the ladder related to the subject/topic “Excercise” within a specified time of 15 seconds each for every single member. So a total of 3 and a half minutes approx was given to each team to fill all the fourteen boxes of their respective ladders. At the end Dr S P Verma crossed out all those words that were not related to the subject from the final filled boxes of each team’s ladder. Team A ultimately emerged victorious and scored 12 correct words out of 14. The whole activity undoubtedly turned out to be a good morale booster for them in terms of not only strengthening their vocab but also enhancing their learning English skills. Dr Sanjay Goyal and Dr Rajbir Parashar motivated the students to participate in such activities in near future also.
