classroom Seminar for B.Sc. II Medical students

Ms. Ritu Bhura, Assistant Professor in Zoology organized a classroom Seminar for B.Sc. II Medical students. The students presented talks on the various topics of Human Physiology and Biodiversity. The main objective of this activity was to boost confidence of students, develop their communication and presentation skills, and to make students aware about few important topics of Human Physiology and Biodiversity not covered in their prescribed syllabus. The students gave presentations on topics such as “Birds in and around Kaithal”, “ Birds in Haryana”, “National Parks, WS and Zoo’s in Haryana”,, “ Amphibians in Haryana”, “ Reptiles in Haryana”, “ Mammals in Haryana”, “Techniques and tools used in Covid-19 testing”, “What after Death”, “How to read a Blood sample report”, “Why heart related disease are more common in Man than Woman?”, “C.I.P.A” and “Multiple personality disorders”. Total 66 students participated in the event. The session was followed by a Q&A session, in which Dr. Gagan Mittal, Head, Department of Zoology, answered the queries of the students. Principal of the college, Dr. Sanjay K Goyal congratulated the participants of the event and highlighted that the outcome of Learner-centric methods like these are long-term retention, acquisition of critical thinking and formation of positive attitudes toward the subject being taught.
