A Class-room Seminar on Khushwant Singh’s “Train to Pakistan” was organized by Dr. Manjula Goel, Associate Professor of English, for the students of M.A. English Final Year on the 25th of April 2022. The students presented their in depth critical observations on the historical fiction. The seminar was meant to inculcate moral and humanistic values among participants through Khushwant Singh’s magnum opus. Khushwant Singh was a versatile genius who was well known not only as a novelist, but also as a diplomat, lawyer and politician. Rita, Sonia and Narender gave their scholarly presentations on ‘Train to Pakistan as a Partition Novel’ and ‘Human Relationships in the Novel. Deepak coordinated the session. The activity ended with the concluding remarks by Dr. Manjula Goel. The Principal, Dr. Sanjay Goyal, Dr Rajbir Parashar, the Head, and other worthy colleagues congratulated the organizer and the students for their active participation in this literary event.
