R.K.S.D. College has a distinct place in cultural events and activities – be it winning of the overall trophy in Inter-zonal Youth Festival for consecutive five years (2003-2009), successfully organising the Zonal and Inter-zonal Youth festivals, Literary and Fine Arts workshops or getting top position in State-level Ratnavali festival competitions. At R.K.S.D College, young and budding artists have always been encouraged by faculty, principal and management. Substantial investment in terms of human efforts and financial resources has regularly been made by the college all along. Our college has a long and glorious history of participation in Zonal and Inter-zonal Youth Festivals, Haryana Day Celebrations and other State and National-level cultural competitions. Over the years, the contingent of cultural activities has won awards, trophies, laurels and widespread recognition. Carrying forward the glorious tradition of the institute, many of our students have earned fame as artists and coaches. Besides excelling in other genres of performing arts, RKSDians have been outshining in popular forms of Haryanvi theatre such as Saang, Skit, Monoacting, Raagini and Orchestra etc.
Teams of committed teachers have made their contribution in recognising and bringing out the latent talent of students and supporting them by all means to hone their skills. Dr. B.D. Nirmohi, Dr. R.P. Singh, Prof. A.L. Madan, Dr. V.D. Sharma, Prof. B.B. Bhardwaj, Dr. J.P. Kaur, Dr. R. K. Gupta, Dr. R. R. Malik, Dr. S.S. Dhull, Dr. Krishan Lal, Dr. O.P. Garg, Dr. Sanjay Goyal, Dr. Luxmi Mor, Dr. Rajbir Parashar, Dr. Geeta Goyal etc. have played a significant role in laying the foundation and strengthening the cultural activities of the college. Thereafter, Prof. Shri Om, Dr. R.P. Moun, Dr. O.P.Saini, Dr. Rajender Singh, Dr. Ashok Attri have carried forward the legacy. Currently, Dr. Jaibir Dhariwal is the overall convener of cultural committee of the college.
