The college performed exceptionally well in the 44th Zonal Youth Festival. Not only the festival was organized successfully, but the College also gave the best performance till date in various genres. The Education Minister Ch. Kanwar Pal Gurjar, Kurukshetra Lok Sabha Constituency MP Nayab Singh Saini, Kaithal Deputy Commissioner Pradeep Dahiya, Kaithal S.P. Sh Lokendra Singh etc. graced the programme by arriving as chief guests. The Education Minister donated Rs 11 lakh out of his voluntary amount and the Member of Parliament donated Rs 5 lakh to the college for development works. Apart from them, DYCA Director Maha singh Poonia, Observer Dr. Rajpal Singh, the President of Kurukshetra University Cultural Council Dr. P. K. Vajpayee, principals of various colleges and eminent citizens of the city were also present on these days.
The guests were welcomed by Sh. Saket Mangal Advocate, President RVS and Governing Body RKSD College Kaithal. On this Occasion, Sh. Ashwani Shorewala, Vice-President RVS, Sh. Naresh Shorewala, Vice-President Governing Body RKSD College, Sh. Pankaj Bansal, General Secretary, RVS and Governing Body RKSD College, Sh. Sunil Chaudhary, Treasurer RVS, Sh. Shyam Bansal, Treasurer, Governing Body, RKSD College, Dr. Sanjay Goyal, Principal of the College, Dr. Satyabir Mehla, Organizing Secretary of the festival Dr. Ashok Atri, Joint Secretary Dr. Jaibir Dhariwal and all senior teachers were present. A total of 42 events of 05 categories were organized on 06 stages established in the college.
For the second consecutive year, the college won the Over-all trophy as well as four out of five trophies – dance, drama, singing and literary items in the Zonal Youth Festival. Participating in 42 disciplines included in these, excelled in a total of 35 disciplines. The college got Recommended in 20 streams, Commended in 08 and third in 07. The results were as follows:

Advocate Saket Mangal, President RVS and Governing Body of the college, announced a prize money of Rs 1100/- to each winner of the Zonal Youth Festival. Apart from this, Dr. Rajeev Sharma, coordinator of Haryanvi items, will also be given a reward of Rs 11000/-.
