A Screening of Raja Rao’s novel “Kanthapura” based on Doordarshan’s 1988 serial “Bharat Ek Khoj” (episodes 49 & 50)directed by Shyam Benegal and an Inter-section quiz competition on the same text “Kanthapura” for all the six sections of BA III of the College was organized on the 11th of October 2019. The events were inaugurated by the officiating Principal of the College Dr. C B Saini, Who blessed the students with his encouraging words. The welcome address was delivered by Dr. Rajbir Parashar, HoD, English. The programmes were jointly organized by Dr. Vikas Bhardwaj and Mr. Naresh Garg. The quiz master for the quiz competition was Dr. Vikas Bhardwaj, while Mr. Naresh Garg conducted the stage. The scorers for the quiz competitions were MA English (P) students Sonia Garg, Santosh, and Monika Manocha. The team from section D got the first prize in the quiz competition. The team was represented by Yanika, Asha and Nisha. The Second position was jointly got by Section C (Govinda, Kavita) and section F (Komal, Tinku, and Sunaina). The occasion was marked by the gracious presence of Dr. Geeta Goyal, Dr. Manjula Goel. Dr. Suruchi Sharma, Mr. Jaibir Dhariwal, Ms. Anjali, Mrs. Richa Langyan, Dr. S P Verma and Ms. Archana Tiwari.
