Classroom discussion on ‘Traditional Woman v/s Modern Woman: Hopes and Challenges’

A classroom discussion on ‘Traditional Woman v/s Modern Woman: Hopes and Challenges’ was organised for MA English, IV semester students on 12th April, 2022. Around ten students expressed their views on different aspects such as the patriarchal Indian system, rights and responsibilities of women, expected roles they play, changing position of women in contemporary society and challenges faced by them. The activity helped students discuss the social fabric and understand the background/structure of Indian society in terms of gender studies prescribed in paper XX, Literature and Gender. Principal Dr Sanjay Goyal, HoD Dr Rajbir Parashar, Convener Dr Geeta Goyal and faculty members from the department congratulated students for the initiative.
