Lecture on ‘Women’s Equality Day 26th August’
On the occasion of ‘Women’s Equality Day 26 August’ in the college, daily newspaper Amar Ujala in collaboration with the Department of Post Graduate Political Science and English organized an inter-institutional lecture with the title ‘Aparajita’. The keynote address was by Dr. Geeta Goyal, Associate Professor of English. In his speech, he put forth the idea that equality does not mean competition between men and women, but ideal conditions for equal development and progress. Therefore, both of them should complement each other. While cautioning the girls, she gave them the idea that they will have to step forward and take responsibility for the work. This is the main basis for establishing equality. Dr. Ashok Atri and Dr. Vinod Mann participated in the discussion after the lecture and gave their views. He also answered the questions asked by the students. Especially the topics of role and participation of women in the field of politics, domestic work and discrimination between boys and girls were included in these questions. Dr. Ashok Atri conducted the stage and Dr. Vinod Mann expressed vote of thanks. On behalf of Amar Ujala, well-known cinematographers, journalists Rajendra Tanwar and Jitendra completed other activities.
