A class quiz on Union Budget 2024 was conducted today by Dr. S.P. Verma in BA 4th Sem. The whole objective was to make the students aware that the Union Budget and Economic Survey of the country are important documents that shape the fiscal policies and economic trajectory of the country. The Union Budget, presented annually by the Finance Minister, outlines the government’s revenue and expenditure plans for the upcoming financial year, affecting various sectors and industries. On the other hand, the Economic Survey provides a comprehensive analysis of India’s economic performance, challenges and policy recommendations, providing important insights for making informed decisions and understanding the economic health of the country.
The quiz focused on testing students’ understanding of knowledge related to the Union Budget in general, which included questions like it serves as a projection of the fiscal account of the country’s expenditure, it includes both expenditure and receipts etc. Principal Dr. Sanjay Goyal motivated the students and asked them to take interest in the policies that formulate financial and economic plans and actions of the government.
