270 Standard friends have been selected in the workshop organized by the bureu of Indian Standards

A workshop was organized by the Bureau of Indian Standards, Chandigarh on the occasion of ‘World Consumer Day’ to introduce the standard, in which the main speaker was Mr. Balu Paki, Assistant Director and Scientist, Bureau of Indian Standards, Haryana. At the beginning of the workshop, coordinator Dr. Mrs. Vinay Singhal welcomed the visitors and gave a brief introduction of Bureau of Indian Standards to the students. Along with this, he also gave a brief introduction of various activities undertaken under the aegis of Bureau of Indian Standards in the last two years. Last year, 228 students of the college had created awareness among more than 6000 people and they also received an honorarium of Rs 1500/- each. In this workshop also, 270 standard friends have been selected. These selected standard friends will create awareness among the common people in the regional parts of Kaithal district to buy ISI marked items. All these students will give detailed information to the general public about the importance and quality of ISI-marked goods, how to test those goods and how to complain about fake goods through an app of the Bureau of Indian Standards and their website. These standard friends selected by the Bureau of Indian Standards will be given a certificate of appreciation, a T-shirt, a badge and a cap, wearing which they will carry out a door-to-door awareness campaign. On this occasion, Dr. Deepak Sharma, Prof. Nidhi, Prof. Neha along with about 270 students were present. Principal Dr. Sanjay Goyal appreciated this effort and congratulated all the members of the committee.
