About

Established in 1982 under a special scheme of the University Grants Commission (UGC) to blend technology and electronics with higher education, the Department of Electronics at RKSD (PG) College, Kaithal has played a vital role in enhancing technical education in the region.

The main objective behind introducing Electronics at the undergraduate level was to produce skilled professionals for industries and public sector organizations like DRDO, ISRO, BSNL, MTNL, BEL, and various research laboratories.

Dr. O.P. Garg served as the founding faculty and Head of the Department. Presently, Sh. Rajesh Deswal, Associate Professor, is leading the department.

The Department currently offers a three-year B.Sc. Electronics program, combining:

• Electronics

• Mathematics

• Physics/Computer Science

Special emphasis is placed on nurturing a job-oriented mindset through extensive project work and practical exposure, making it highly appealing for students passionate about Physics and scientific careers.
