Activities 2020-21

  • Three Days (19-21 October, 2020) Virtual Workshop “PAVITRA” on Personal Health and Hygiene was being organized by the Women Cell in collaboration with ‘The Art of Living Foundation’. Ms Sonal Anand who is a Certified Yoga instructor from ‘Ministry of Ayush’ and art of living Teacher, was the coach instructor of the workshop. 160 girls from Morning and Evening session of the college participated in the workshop.
  • To commemorate Girl Child Week various competitions like Poster Making, Collage Making and Slogan Writing were organized on 28th of January, in which 80 students of the entire sister institutions (Pharmacy College, B Ed college and P G College & Evening College participated).
  • Women cell organized National Level On line Competitions on June 10 in which 200 Partcipants from different states viz. Haryana, Punjab, Himachal Pradesh, Tamilnadu, Uttar Pradesh and Rajasthan took participation. The competitions were:
  • DIY Planter based upon the waste material,
  • Cartooning on the topic of Vaccination Drive on Covid-19 and
  • Cooking without Fire based on healthy food ideas. The objectives of the above events was to inculcate gardening habits among students sensitizing them towards the mother earth and creating awareness about the about the vaccination drive to prevent covid-19 creating healthy food habits among students hands boosting up their immunity. The event was convened by Prof. Rachana Sardana and coordinated by Dr Geeta Goyal and Dr Suruchi Sharma, the Organising Secretary of the event was Dr Manjula Goyal and Prof. Richa Langyan. Key role was played by Prof. Manika Gupta, Prof. Nitika Gaba and Prof. Mukesh Garg for the successful organization of these competitions.
  1. First position in DIY Planter was grabbed by Jyoti from Sirsa, Second Position by Anamika from RKSD College Kaithal and third by Kamna from Chachrauli.
  2. In Cartooning first position was grabbed by Sapna from Kurukshetra University Kurukshetra and Saloni from RKSD College Kaithal, third Palak from DAV College Ballabgar.
  3. In Cooking without Fire first position was secured by Mansha Faridabad, Second position Sakshi from Punjab and Third position Kabir from Ambala and Purnima from RKSD College Kaithal.
  • A one day National Level Virtual Workshop was organized to celebrate International Yoga Day on 21st of June in which almost 160 participants got registered. The resource person of the workshop was Ms Sonal Anand who is Certified Yoga Trainer of Level 3 from the Ministry of Ayush. She took up the warm up session with various Yoga Asanas and Pranayams. Prof Rachana Sardana was the Convener and Dr. Suruchi Sharma was the Co-convener of this workshop.
