Career Guidance Activities

Session: 2015–16

  • To enhance the mathematical and analytical reasoning capabilities of the students, a workshop was held on the topic ‘Vedic Mathematics’ by Ms. Aprana Grover and ‘Short Cut Method in Aptitude Test’ by Amit Kumar from ‘Infomaths’ Chandigarh on 20 August, 2015.

  • A lecture was organised on the topic ‘Career opportunities in Defence Forces’ delivered by Mr. Bijender Kumar, Commandant in B.S.F. on 8 September, 2015.

  • An Extension lecture was organized on the topic ‘How to Creak the SSC Examination’ delivered by Dr. C.B. Saini on 16 September, 2015.

  • A Campus placement drive was held by ICICI Bank and Yes Bank on 4–5 April, 2016 for the position of Assistant Manager, in which seventeen students got selected and were offered to join the Banks.

Session: 2014–15

  • To enhance mathematical and analytical reasoning capabilities of students, a seminar was held at R.K.S.D. College, Kaithal on 9 September, 2014 by Infomaths Chandigarh.

  • A placement drive was conducted by DCM Group of Sugar Industries to recruit professionals on 18 March, 2015. 40 students of Final year Chemistry department participated in it.

  • A placement drive was undertaken by APIIT to recruit professionals for Paytm company for the same. Campus interview were held on 31 March, 2015 at R.K.S.D. College, Kaithal in which 26 students were offered to join the company.

Session: 2013–14

  • Dr. Mahavir Narwal delivered an Extension Lecture on Career Opportunities for Commerce Students on 5 February, 2014.

  • The Cell organised a Three Day Language Workshop in collaboration with Department of English on the theme, Communication Skills and Personality Development by Dr. Geeta Goel on 11–13 March, 2014.

  • More than 200 students participated in it.

Session: 2012–13

  • The Cell of the college conducted Recruitment Drive in association with IFBI (Institute of Finance, Banking and Insurance) on 23 February, 2013.

  • Six students were selected as Branch Banking Officer-Customer in ICICI Bank.

  • Before selection, the students were screened with online test and interview.

  • The students have been selected on a salary package of Rs. 2.40 lack.

  • The names of selected students are: Shagun Chahal, Sneha Garg, Sunil Garg, Neeshu (B.com III), Pooja Kalia and Priyanka Chopra (B.Sc.-II) respectively.
