Women Cell Activities: 2021–2022
To motivate students to enhance and showcase their creative skills and to inculcate entrepreneurial spirit, Karwa Fest was organized on October 23, 2021. Various competitions such as Karwa and Thali Making, Dupatta Decoration, and Mehandi Competition were held, in which around 60 students participated. The Fest was convened by Ms. Rachana Sardana.
Diwali Fest was celebrated on 30th October, 2021 to mark the festival of lights and togetherness. Students participated in diverse events like Diya and Bandhani Making, Paintings, Cookery Show, Phuljhari Making, and Creative Fun Games. Around 100 students enthusiastically participated in the fest, which was convened by Ms. Rachana Sardana.
National Girl Child Day was celebrated on 24th January, 2022 by organizing a National Level Online Poster Making Competition on the theme ‘Girl Child’. 185 participants from various states including Tamil Nadu, Maharashtra, Punjab, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, and Uttarakhand took part.

The competition was convened by Ms. Richa Langyan.
International Women’s Day was celebrated by organizing a National Level Online Quiz Competition on the theme ‘Women Achievers’ across various fields such as sports, politics, business, and administration. The quiz witnessed participation from almost 1000 students representing Punjab, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Uttarakhand, Tamil Nadu, Rajasthan, and Maharashtra.
A lecture was also organized in collaboration with Nehru Yuva Kendra. On this occasion, Nehru Yuva Kendra honored the Women Cell members for their outstanding contributions towards the welfare of girl students.
The quiz was convened by Dr. Suruchi Sharma, and the lecture was convened by Ms. Rachana Sardana.In collaboration with Ujala Cygnus Hospital, Kaithal, Women Cell organized a Lecture-cum-Consultation Session on 10th May, 2022 on ‘Health and Nutrition of Girl Students’. The session was delivered by Dr. Deepika Saharan, a Nutritionist and Dietician, who emphasized the importance of a balanced diet and proper nutrition. Following the lecture, students engaged in a consultation session, discussing their personal health issues and diet plans. This event was convened by Dr. Manjula Goel.
On 19th May, 2022, an Outreach Activity was conducted in collaboration with the Literary Committee of the college. Students from M.A. English, IV Semester prepared and performed a street play titled ‘Shiksha Ka Abhiyaan’ in the villages of Batta and Deewal. The play focused on gender sensitization and raising awareness about girl education. The initiative was guided by Dr. Geeta Goyal.
