Seminar on Charles Dickens’ timeless classic “Oliver Twist”

A Seminar on Charles Dickens’ timeless classic “Oliver Twist” was organized in the Department of English for MA (P) students of the College. The event was coordinated by Dr. Geeta Goyal, Associate Professor. Dr. Rajbir Parashar. HoD English inaugurated the seminar. Three students—Anjali Sheoran, Manisha and Sonia Garg presented their papers in this academic event. Anjali’s paper was on the “Theme of Goodness Vs. Evil in Oliver Twist, whereas Manisha made her presentation on the Character sketch of the Protagonist of the Novel. Sonia Garg’s paper was on the “Major Thematic Concerns of Charles Dickens in Oliver Twist.” The event was very efficiently anchored by Tamanna and Monika Sharma. In the lively discussion that followed, students and teachers talked about various aspects of the novel eliciting a hugely enthusiastic response from all those who were present. The event was attended by Dr. Seema Gupta, Dr. Vikas Bhardwaj, Dr. Manjula Goel, and Dr. Suruchi Sharma.
