National Level Online Quiz Competition “Shakespeare and His Works”

On the occasion of 457th birth anniversary of William Shakespeare, the most famous dramatist of English, a National Level Online Quiz Competition “Shakespeare and His Works” was organised by English Literary Society of the College from 23rd to 26th April 2021. In this Competition 1057 students, scholars, teachers and Literary enthusiasts participated from all over India. The participation was witnessed even from far off places like J&K, Tamil Nadu, West Bengal, Kerala, Madhya Pradesh etc.
Earlier the PG Students of MA English of the College were made to participate in the same quiz in which Sonia Garg remained first, Sahil Garg got second position and Parul Gupta bagged the third prize. All the three position holders are students of IV Semester. Although all the three prize winners obtained 100 % score, the winners were declared on the basis of time taken by them for the submission of their responses. The prize winners were given cash reward of Rs 500/-, Rs 400/- and Rs 300/- respectively. The questionnaire was prepared keeping in mind the UGC-NET Examination of English. The quiz was organised jointly by Dr Vikas Bhardwaj and Ms Richa Langyan. Dr Suruchi Sharma, President of the Literary Society, Dr Rajbir Parashar, HoD, and Dr S K Goyal, the Principal and other colleagues of Department of English congratulated the organisers, prize winners and participants.
