Efforts of R.K.S.D.(P.G.) College,Kaithal towards the starting of the Vidya-Vahini Bus Service keeping in mind the security of girl-students got its results when it was inaugurated officially by the Honourable D.C. Kaithal,Dr Priyanka Soni from the local main bus-stand here on 6th Sept.,2019. When the bus actually reached the college premises,it was welcomed by Sh. Saket Mangal Advocate,President,Governing Body and R.V.S. and the other Governing Body members. It shows the dedication of the administration that Dr Priyanka Soni herself and Dr Sanjay Goyal,Principal, R.K.S.D.College,Kaithal boarded the bus and accompanied the girls through the set routes to the college. Dr Suruchi Sharma and Prof Rachna Sardana also accompanied them. Dr Soni addressed the grievances of the students and promised them of a safe and secure environment. Earlier a committee keeping in mind the travelling related problems of the college girl-students was formed by Dr Sanjay Goyal which when finalised its report was submitted to the Honourable D.C. and the district administration acted urgently and positively in the matter by bringing that into action on 6th Sept,2019. Indraprasth Gas Limited(IGL) by sponsoring this project will spend Rs. 5 lakhs per month and three buses will run on daily basis from 8.00 a.m to 5.00 p.m by following a set schedule and route to Govt College,Kaithal,Jat College,Kaithal,I.G.College,Kaithal and R.K.S.D.College,Kaithal. Now girls will not have to struggle and travel to the local bus-stand which is quite far away from the said institutions. Girl-students across streams and colleges thanked Dr Priyanka Soni and once again the whole premise of R.K.S.D.(P.G.) College shouted ‘ Beti Bachao,Beti Padhao’.
