‘Feministic Aspect: A Discussion’ was organised for the students of M.A. English

To provide a platform for presenting and discussing the feministic perspective in British, Indian- English, American and Afro-American literature, a Classroom Seminar on ‘Feministic Aspect: A Discussion’ was organised for the students of M.A. English II and IV Semester on 11 April, 2023. Nancy, Shagun, Pinky, Pratibha, Komal, Sunaina, Tamanna, Ravi, Kajal and Kamal from MA final year presented their papers focussing on feministic aspects from various prescribed texts such as Jane Eyre, The Second Sex, Twelfth Night, Kanthapura, Silence! The Court is in Session, Beloved, A House for Mr. Biswas, The Guide, The Wasteland and To the Lighthouse etc. Anshika, M.A II semester and Anjali, M.A IV semester coordinated the event whereas Ms Shweta clicked photos and videos of the presenters. Students enthusiastically participated in the seminar which was followed by discussion and a question-answer session . Dr. Sanjay Goyal, Principal, Dr. Rajbir Prashar, HOD and other faculty members from the Department congratulated the presenters for their efforts. Dr Manjula Goyal, Ms. Richa Langayn also attended the seminar. Students were able to discuss and relate various texts from a different angle which helped in broadening their perspective and understanding of literature.The activity was convened by Dr Geeta Goyal.
