75 NCC Cadets of RKSD College Successfully Complete CATC-129 Organised by 10 Haryana Battalion, Kurukshetra, from 5th November to 14th November 2024 at Arunai Pehowa”
75 NCC Cadets of RKSD 4/10 Coy. and 5/10 Coy. successfully completed CATC-129 (Training Camp) organised by 10 Haryana Battalion, Kurukshetra, from 5th November to 14th November 2024 at Arunai, Pehowa (Kurukshetra).
In the camp, cadets received training in various military activities. The students participated in numerous activities: morning PT parade, drill parade, theory classes, sports activities and cultural activities. During the classes, various topics of NCC ‘A’ and ‘B’ certificates were covered. These classes were conducted by ANOs and PI staff. Expert lectures on various topics, such as waste management, firefighting and leadership qualities, were also organised during the camp.
Throughout these 10 days, various competitions were organised amongst different institutions. A total of 350 students from 18 institutions, including schools and colleges, were present in the camp. RKSD College received the runners-up trophy for the drill competition. In the Senior Division, Ankush from 4/10 Coy. secured first position in the 2.6 km run.
In the Senior Wing, Sneha from RKSD 4/10 Coy. secured first position and Arti from RKSD 5/10 Coy. achieved second position in the 1.6 km race. In the group dance competition, Siya, Simran, Latita and Ritu from RKSD 5/10 secured second position. Sanju from NCC 4/10 Coy. achieved second position in the solo dance competition. Siya and Simran also received appreciation certificates for piloting. Dr Ritu Kang Walia, CTO 4/10 Coy., accompanied the cadets to the camp and guided them throughout their stay.
Dr Ritu Kang Walia also received an appreciation certificate and medal from the Commanding Officer, Lt Col Niteesh Kumar. He commended the cadets’ enthusiasm during the camp. Group Commander Brigadier General Vikas Rai Shandilya also visited the camp. Sub Maj Vinod Kumar praised the cadets’ performance throughout the camp. Principal Dr Sanjay Goyal highly commended the NCC cadets for their marvellous achievements during the camp and wished them success in their future careers.
Dr Sanjay Goyal, along with Vice Principal Dr S.S. Mehla, also praised the efforts of CTO Dr Ritu Kang Walia during her ten-day stay at the camp with the students.
During their stay at Arunai, the students also visited the Lord Shiva temple.
Dr Raghbir Lamba welcomed the cadets back to the college after the camp.
