Ten SD cadets from RKSD College, including five from 4/10 Coy (CQMS Rahul, SGT Aashish Kumar, Cdt Mayank, Cdt Lalit, Cdt Shubham) and five cadets from 5/10 Coy (SUO Anmol, Cdt Aman, Cdt Mohit, Cdt Gourav, Cdt Prince), attended the Army Attachment Camp from October 4-15, 2024, conducted by 212 Rocket Regiment at Ambala Cantt.
During the camp, cadets attended classes on weapon training, map reading, leadership, and drill. They toured various facilities including officers’ mess and club, JCO mess and club, and guard house. The cadets visited the rocket regiment, AAD regiment, and 1st Artillery Division. At 10 Sikh LI, they fired the 5.56mm INSAS rifle and learned its assembly and disassembly.
They participated in drill exercises and cultural events, including solo and group singing. In sports, they played basketball and volleyball at the Regimental Sports Area, winning the Inter-Battalion Volleyball competition. The program included lectures on joining the Indian Army and self-defense training in close combat. They also watched the film “Sam Manekshaw.”
Senior Wing participants from RKSD College 4/10 Coy (SUO Anshul Dhiman, UO Shiwani, SGT Muskan, and Cadet Paramjeet) attended their Army Attachment Camp from November 4-15, 2024, conducted by 40 Artillery Division Signal Regiment at Ambala Cantt.
They observed infantry weapons and toured various facilities, including the rocket regiment, AAD regiment, and AMC regiment. The cadets practiced with 10m air pistols and rifles, and learned to assemble and disassemble the 5.56mm INSAS and 9mm CMG. They participated in drill exercises and sports at Kharka Sports Complex, visited Parbat Ali Regiment, and attended lectures on military careers and health hygiene. The cadets also watched “Singham Again” and “Sam Manekshaw.”
Principal Dr. Sanjay Goyal congratulated the cadets on completing their Army Attachment Camps, noting that their participation motivates junior cadets. Dr. Raghbir Lamba, ANO 5/10 Coy, and Dr. Ritu Kang Walia, CTO 4/10 Coy, also congratulated the cadets and encouraged their future participation in similar activities.
