About
Punjabi is an International language. It is also known as the second language in Haryana State and the third language in Canada. Punjabi helps to understand the Culture Folklore and history of Punjab and Haryana. Punjabi language helps us to enhance every point of social values. At present the department has single faculty member. The retired faculty members of the department are renowned as thinkers and contributors to the discipline of Punjabi language and Culture.
Department Strength
- Dedicated and well qualified faculty and strength of around 200 students.
- Library facility with reference books, relevant magazines, leading newspapers is also available for the students. More than 3000 books of Punjabi language are available for the students.
- Academic and personal counseling is given to the students.
- Department organize educational and excavation trip time to time.
- This department always adopts innovative ideas and techniques such as quiz, national Seminar, declamations, slogans writing, poster making, debates to improve teaching and learning process.

- Haryana Punjabi Sahit Academy Panchkula inspires students for Punjabi to get a variety of jobs and career in govt. and non-govt. departments.
- Career in teaching at School and College level, in research and community development project as well as to enter print and electronic media as profession.
- Academy helps students to enter tourism field.
