Session (2019-20) was celebrated as the ‘Girl’s Health Care Year’.
- An extension lecture was organised on Personal Hygiene and Sanitation in collaboration with Lions Club, Kaithal on 20th August, 2019. The Principal, Dr. Sanjay Goyal inaugurated the event.
- A Sanitary Napkin Vending Machine, donated by Lions Club, Kaithal, was installed in Girls Common Room on 20th Aug, 2019. The Guest of honour, Dr. Gurcharan Singh Bhola, District Governor of Lions Club, inaugurated the event.
- To propagate the message of ‘Cast your Precious Vote’, Women Cell organised a Mat-Dandia Mahotsav as per the instructions of District Election Office, Kaithal on 4th Sep, 2019 in Rama Krishna Hall. Around 500 girls along with their teachers participated in ‘Vote Dandia’ with great enthusiasm. Dr. Luxmi Mor, Dr. Geeta Goyal, Prof. Rachana Sardana, Prof. Puja Mittal and Dr. Versha Maun acted as judges. Arti and Rimpi, students of M.A English final year got first position. Dr. Suruchi Sharma administered the oath of ‘casting vote’ to the gathering. Dr. Manjula Goel presented a report of activities of the Women Cell. The chief guest, Sh. Saket Mangal, President, Governing Body, Sh. Shayam Bansal, Treasurer and Dr. Sanjay Goyal, Principal, gave away the prizes to the winners. The event was telecasted live on Facebook of the college by Dr. Vikas Bharadwaj.
- Poster Making, Slogan Writing and Collage Making competitions were organised on the theme ‘Women Empowerment’ on 16th Oct, 2019. Various topics such as ‘Beti Bachao-Beti Padhao’, ‘Women Achievers’, ‘Women in Politics’, ‘Women in Sports’ were covered by the students. Dr. Ashok Attri and Dr. S. P. Verma acted as judges. In Poster Making, Prabha Bhradwaj bagged Ist position, Himanshu and Tanu IInd and Sachin bagged IIIrd position. In Collage Making, Prabha got Istand Parveen Kumar bagged IInd position. In Slogan Writing, Prabha bagged Ist position, Kamal IInd and Kalpana bagged IIIrd position.
- On the Eve of Karwa Chauth, A Talent Festive Show of Mehandi Competition was organised on 16th Oct, 2019 on the theme of ‘Earning through Learning Skills’. Dr. Geeta Goyal, Prof. Sunita and Prof. Archana Tiwari acted as judges. Anu and Bhawna bagged Ist position, whereas Sakshi, Shruti and Shalini bagged IInd position.
- On 12th Jan, 2019, National Youth Day was celebrated. A Marathon was organised which commenced from Jat Ground, Kaithal and covered almost all the main points of the city. Woman and Child Development Minister, Govt of Haryana, Ms. Kamlesh Danda flagged off the Marathon. Around 150 students along with the Principal Dr. Sanjay Goyal, Dr. Manjula Goel, Dr. Geeta Goyal, Dr. Suruchi Sharma, Dr. Versha Maun, Mrs. Sheenu Singla participated in the event.
- As directed by District Election Office, Kaithal, on 13th Jan, 2020, Women Cell organised multiple intra-college competitions on National Voter Day. This included ‘On-the-Spot Essay Writing Competition’, ‘Declamation Contest’ and ‘Rangoli Competition’ on the theme ‘Indian Elections are Democratic Festival’. Selected students participated at District Level Competition on 15th Jan, 2020.
- On 15th Jan, 2020, Women Cell hosted a number of competitions at District level in the college. In ‘Rangoli Competition’ Priya (B.Com. Final), R.K.S.D. (P.G.) College Kaithal bagged Ist position. In ‘On-the-Spot Essay Writing Competition’, Purnima M.Com. Previous, R.K.S.D.(P.G.) College got Ist position and in ‘Declamation Contest’ Purnima M.Com. Previous bagged Ist position. Dr. Laxmi Mor and Dr. Geeta Goyal from R.K.S.D.(P.G.) College and two Asstt. Professors from I.G.M.M.V. Kaithal acted as judges. Sh. Shamsher Singh, Chairman, District Election Office attended the event.
- Taken into consideration International Women’s Week, Women Cell, in collaboration with Legal Literacy Cell, organised an extension lecture on “Women Rights and Legal Awareness” to celebrate ‘Anti Women Harassment Day’ on 4th March 2020. Mr. Arvind Khurania, Advocate was the keynote speaker. Dr. Manjula Goel and Dr. Anil Jindal along with Dr. Sanjay Goyal, Principal, inaugurated the event and welcomed the guest.
- On International Women’s Day, in context of Poshan Abhiyan (PM’S Overarching Scheme for Holistic Nourishment) Women Cell of the College participated in Pinkathons on 8th March, 2020. Around 150 girls in pink attire alongwith the principal, Dr. Sanjay Goyal, Dr. Manjula Goel, Prof. Rachana Sardana, Prof. Pooja Gupta participated in this drive. On this occasion. Dr. Manjula Goel, Convener, Women Cell, was honoured by the District administration under the aegis of Ministry of Women and Child Development.
- Manjula Goel expressed her views on ‘Women Empowerment through Education’ in a press conference organised by Amar Ujala, a renowned newspaper on 8th March, 2020.
